libstatistics-basic-perl software package provides collection of very basic statistics modules, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libstatistics-basic-perl
libstatistics-basic-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libstatistics-basic-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libstatistics-basic-perl *
You will get with libstatistics-basic-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
